How we meet life and how life meets us…
There are four types in the Human Design System. They all have a different auric presence and therefore effect in the world. Approximately 80 % of humanity are energy types, so-called generators (circa 68 %) and manifestors (circa 9 %). In 1781 a new type came into being, the projector, who makes up circa 22 % of the world´s population by now. The reflectors (circa 1 %) make up the smallest percentage and with the projectors are called non-energy types.
What is an aura?
The aura is a flexibel energetic field, an electromagnetic signature, that surround every living being.
What is strategy?
There is a certain strategy for every type that allows each type to take advantage of their individual energetic field (aura) and allows to eliminate resistance and for the internal mental struggle to subside.

Energy types

Peace versus anger
Open sacral center, one motor has connection to the throat. Manifestors are the initiatory forces of life and each action they take has an effect on their environment and the people in it. They can be very independent and want to do their thing. When they inform others about their impulses, they eliminate resistance and increase support . If they do not inform others or do not correctly use their power, but instead steamroll over others or allow others to control them, they encounter resistance on many levels, while creating a lot of chaos around them. Others often learn to fear them and the manfestors become angry. Through informing they create an atmosphere of trust and pave the way to lead a peaceful life free from resistance. When manifestors understand their impact and start to inform before acting, the anger can be avoided and they create peace within and without.
Manifestors embody the ideal of how humans are supposed to be in the world nowadays:
Just do it! Manifest what you want! But this very independent way of acting in the world is reserved for manifestors when they allow life to flow through them instead of initiating out of their mind which can have catastrophic results! The key to a peaceful life lies in open communication, informing each and everyone who will be affected by their actions and being informed by others what is going.
Aura: Closed so it can impact others and they can follow their own path.

Satisfaction versus frustration

Generators/manifesting generators have a gut feeling. They are here to keep life going. They have immense energy available for things and people that are correct for them. If they use their energy correctly, their internal power source is replenished. If a generator tries to act like a manifestor and initiate to get things going, they encounter resistance and deplete their energy resources. They open themselves to be manipulated because there is no way for them to find out anymore what is correct to do or not. They are the perfect magnets, everything comes to them so they can respond to life and through that response see if a certain activity or person is correct for them to engage with and they really have energy for it or not.
When they learn to wait and allow things to come to them and start responding instead of initiating on what their mind tells them to do, resistance and frustration stop as they are only indicators that they are off track. Only then they can experience real satisfaction. Frustration can feel like being stuck or being trapped. It is important to only do things and interact with people that they love and that bring satisfaction. Following their strategy and authority will show them what really brings fulfillment and satisfaction in life. Pure generators work step by step until they reach a plateau where it seems like nothing is moving anymore, but if they have entered correctly into something, more energy will be released so they can keep going. If they did not enter correctly they can feel completely stuck and become the great quitters in life. Manifesting generators are faster than pure generators, but they have the tendency to skip seemingly unimportant steps along the way and later have to go back to redo them when they discover they left out something essential. They are also more easily fooled into initiating instead of waiting for life to come to them. If they do not follow their strategy and authority they are often caught in a web of frustration and anger.
Aura: open, enveloping, so they can respond to the the impulses of life.

Who am I?
Non-Energy types
The following two types are non-energy types: Projectors see through things and underneath the surface and are able to guide others, especially energy types, to use their energy more efficiently when they are recognized and invited. Reflectors see the big picture and mirror the basic state of the world as well as of bigger communities and through that mirroring they help everyone to gain a deeper sense of self-awareness.

Bitterness versus success

Projectors have the ability to see the essence of every being. They look deeply into the soul of others and recognize their potential. In order for them to be able to use their guiding ability they need to be recognized and invited by the other. Intimately connected to the energy that underlies everything they are able to see the connections and structures of life´s web in their own unique way. They are not here to work. With their abilities they can help others to use their energy correctly (especially generators through asking the one relevant question for their process) and to head in a direction that is in alignment with their true nature. Projectors need systems that help them to communicate their perception of the world to others in a comprehensible manner. They need to find a system that resonates with them so they can apply it. It is important to know the rules of the game if you want to explain them to others so they can master the game. They have to wait to berecognized for all they are and invited so they only speak when invited or asked for their input as that strengthens their attractiveness for the people that are here to recognizethem. They take in the other very deeply, they eat the other´s energy, so it is important to only accept invitations that are really sweet.
If projectors try to initiate and make life happen they get a lot of resistance and become bitter. If they try to act like a generator, they exhaust themselves. Once a projector is recognized and invited for his or her unique potential, he can become successful through the success of the other and the interaction will feel sweet to them.
Aura: focused so they can take in the other and help them to find their alignment to their unique life path.

Disappointment versus surprise
All centers are open.
They are the mirror of the collective, of the world, of the general state of humanity. They are like the canary in the coal mine. Through their ability to feel out the quality of people in their entirety and to mirror it they really understand the program and can detect any “glitsch” in the system which then again brings them the element of surprise. They are either completely absorbed in the collective program or they are not really of the world and can therefore serve others through their objective and unique perspective. Patience leads to wisdom and a feeling of clarity. To wait a moon cycle when it comes to important decisions allows the reflector to really take the time to see the big picture, to communicate with others about the decision and hear out their perspectives, and to notice if after that time there is still any interest in the subject matter or person at all. Change is the constant companion of the reflector, but they have stabilizing factors in their profile and the color of their motivation. If a reflector is not following his strategy and authority he will experience one disappointment after the next as life will be the same old, same old. Only surprises, things and people that are unique and different, bring surprise and joy into a reflector´s life.
Aura: “Teflon-” aura that can sample something or completely close off and function purely as mirror.
Strategy: Wait a moon cycle (about 28 days) for important decisions!
