Meditate on scripture or a favorite quote of yours
Another one of my favorites ways to have an inspired meditation practice is to open one of my favorite books and see which page or sentence jumps out at me. This can be done with what we consider to be holy literature or any other book that inspires you. You can do the same with tarot and oracle cards, just pick one that you feel intuitively drawn to.
To meditate on scripture or a favorite quote can be but does not have to be religious. Always take what resonates with you and read the sentence or paragraph and then close your eyes and watch your bodily sensations, the feelings, emotions flowing through, and the thoughts that are arising. Maybe you there is an inspiring insight waiting for you?
Allow the words to resonate through your body. Allow new insights about the quote, card, or scripture to arise. Maybe you would like to note what you receive in your meditation diary to document your process?
