Hello my lovelies,
On the 21st of January the solar year of 2021 begins when the Sun moves into the 41st gate in the evening hours. Every year around the 21st or 22nd of January a new solar cycle for humanity is initated. For me personally, 2021 has reignited the spark of my mediation practice and I feel like sharing the joy of clearing my mind, opening my heart, and relaxing into my body with all of you that are interested in coming along for this journey.
This Rave year our global transit field includes a strong definition of the Head and Ajna center along with a strong emotional configuration with the transit of the channel 19-49, the Channel of Sensitivity, full of revolution and turmoil working on transforming what we know as the tribe, our communal structures. Our collective mind will be hard at work. Please remember what you think is not for you, it is a reflection of what you perceive so you can share it with others when they ask you. Each of us has the choice to watch the global transits (the influence the planets have on us) happening or become entangled in the mental story lines that come along. Instead of being driven by a mental anxiety to figure out your life, you can watch what is happening and reap the benefits of a growing awareness about yourself and life itself. The channel 61-47 that defines the Head and Ajna is called the Channel of Awareness, the Design of a Thinker, so be aware of a pressure to keep repeating the same thought over and over again while trying to mentally resolve the puzzle of staying alive. If you allow the thoughts to pass through without attaching to them, you may have an insight, a spark of inner truth. This transit can inspire humanity to think about life in a new way and if we do not allow it to influence our decision making process we move away from the mental chaos and anxiety it can create. As most people do not know what we know, we may see some chaos this year.
“We can train the mind to its correct work, observe the experience that the body is engaged in here, now! That does not mean there is no thinking going on internally. Noticing those thoughts becomes part of the witnessing process. My body is experiencing this and my mind is talking about that. We are a binary consciousness being.”
– Dharmen Swann-Herbert, The Rave New Year 2021 Forecast
This is where meditation comes into play… meditation is a tool that allows us to learn how to watch our mind and what is happening in our body without identifying or judging it.
Do you have a meditation practice?
Life itself is a mediation.
In my perspective, life itself is meditation. Meditation is much more than simply sitting down and watching your thoughts. Meditation is alive, it can incorporate movement, meditation can also include other spiritual or religious practices. Meditation can have a healing effect on your whole system. Meditation is a way to learn to watch what is happening without judgement, just being the silent witness, the sakshi as it is called in the Yogic tradition, or the observer as we say in Human Design.
As the moon moves through all 64 gates of the Human Design Mandala during one lunar cycle which is approximately 28 days long, this timeframe is a wonderful container for starting your own experiment. This is why February with its 28 days this years called to me to share my favorite meditation practices. The moon is our driving force and like the bodies of water on this planet that are influenced by the moon, so are we. Our body is mainly made up of water and water is the element that is connected to our emotions, our creativity, and therefore it is a main influencing force when it comes to our emotional state and it can change very quickly. Every one of us can experience the monthly moony cycle and the quality of the moon changes up to three times a day, it ebbs and flows like the ocean. We can also experience our own extremes every month, if we pay attention, and we can learn to accept those extremes and instead of acting out, learn to simply watch them. This is where meditation comes in. Meditaiton is a tool that teaches us to watch without reacting, simply watch what is happening inside of us and around us, no jugement, no good, no bad, just accepting what is.
If this is for you, you can try the meditation practices that I present during the upcoming month or just stick with the ones that resonate with and/or work for you and commit to a month of watching what unfolds for you. For me all the practices I present are a tool to re-connect to my true Self and a reminder that every moment of every day can be a meditation when we observe the movie of our life. Life is precious! If you are interested to go even deeper into the experiment of your own design and the influence of the moon, my beloved teachers Dharmen and Leela Swann-Herbert have created a self-study program just for that, the Path of the Moon. They have decades of experience and they make it easy to understand how watching the transits of the moon (or any other planet for that matter) is done.
Are you lost in the storyline of your life or are you watching the movie of your life unfold?
